Change in Plans 6/15/16

Sitting in my office at Virtual Sirens, working through some tough scenes, I am surprised by Lynette as she hobbles in. Well that isn’t totally accurate.  She is on crutches with a cast on her ankle and foot.

Shocked, I quickly help her to a chair and ask what happened?

She had gone on a weekend trip into the desert with some friends to hike and explore when she slipped and fractured her ankle. She wasn’t hiking barefoot, the desert isn’t the best place for that, but even still her boot didn’t help much. Took two hours to get back to the jeep and another to the hospital.

She is fine but this does sideline for a while the Barefoot Archaeologist. Also, Ellen had to leave for a family emergency plus Katrina hasn’t contacted me. so I think she is still in Russia. Lynette is left to relax and recover at her home here on the estate and I am left to no production to work on.

I closed production, temporarily, and feeling somewhat empty inside, I headed to Central City to clear my head. Adrea and I haven’t seen much of each other the past week or so, she was anxious to get busy with work but since VS has been on other projects she was kinda left on her own. She has been doing some side modeling in town and I hoped to catch up to her at some point when I got into town.

I called Adrea and met her at a local coffee shop. I had something to run by her, and I didn’t know if she would be happy or not for it.

She looks wonderful sitting there in sandals, cargo pants, and a soft blue top, with a hot coffee on the table next to her. Working definitely brings out her best. I sat and after a brief chat I told her of Lynette’s misfortune, which she was reasonably concerned.

When I told her I needed her back in the studio, that I wanted to resume work on Keepers but with a slightly different focus she instantly perked up. Letting her know that we were going to do Keepers of Wrath with a ticklish perspective, she was beginning to giggle and curl her toes reflexively.  That we were starting immediately, brought a great big smile to her face as she lunged forward to hug me. She was so happy that we were going to work on this next project, tickling and all, that she teared up.

I think she thought I didn’t want to continue our main project, in any form. But that is far from the truth.

So off we went back to the studio.  It is fun now, not easy but definitely better now that Adrea and I are back working together.
